Talking about Doshas and the 3 Mind/Body Types

They refer to your unique physical and mental constitution. Everyone has their dominant dosha or combination of two or three of these elemental forces. Knowing yours can help you maintain balance, who doesn't want that? and help you through seasonal changes for lasting health and peace of mind. What is Ayurveda?

Photo Credit:Indianexpress.com   With our up coming Sip & Dip Yin Yoga by the pool event, I thought I'd talk abit about Ayurveda for those who aren't familiar with it.  Although Ayurveda is becoming more and more  popular is western holistic medicine, is thought to be over  5000 years old. An Indian natural healing system that consists of a number of disciplines, including aromatherapy, diet, herbal medicine, acupuncture, yoga, massage, meditation and balancing of energies.    Ayurvedic medicine is entirely holistic and creates harmony between the body, mind, and spirit.  Ayurveda translated from Sanskrit means "the science of life"   Ayurveda reminds us that our health is all balanced and a direct connection between our environment, body, mind, and spirit. photo credit: ...
